An Azure Evolution of Patek Philippe’s Ladies’ Nautilus 7010/1G-013

Patek Philippe has long demonstrated its mastery in merging sporty sophistication with refined elegance. With the launch of the new Ladies’ Nautilus Reference 7010/1G-013, the Swiss manufacture continues to evolve the aesthetic and technical boundaries of feminine watchmaking. Following the success of previous Ladies’ Nautilus editions in rose gold with purple dials, this latest model boasts a white gold case with a vibrant azure blue lacquered dial and matching white gold bracelet. Launched in tandem with the 7010G-013 – its sibling with a composite strap in matching azure – the 7010/1G-013 brings a fresh, contemporary edge to the Nautilus range, all while remaining unmistakably Patek Philippe.
Dialled to Perfection

The defining feature of the 7010/1G-013 is its lacquered azure blue dial featuring the signature Nautilus wave motif. More than a chromatic flourish, this dial serves as a striking focal point that is youthful, exuberant, and utterly contemporary. Serving as a bold expression of character, it deftly straddles the fine line between spirited sportiness and refined femininity. This makes it a versatile companion equally suited for everyday wear and elegant occasions.
The dial’s remarkable depth and vibrancy are achieved via an intensive, multi-stage production process involving successive applications of translucent azure lacquer, which are then sealed with a colourless protective topcoat before laborious polishing. This technique is what imparts a profound depth and dimensionality to the dial’s surface, allowing light to interact with the undulating pattern to striking effect.
Applied hour markers in a refined ogival shape, along with Arabic numerals, are executed in white gold and filled with luminescent material to ensure contrast and excellent visibility in the day and night. The Alpha-style hour and minute hands, also in white gold and similarly treated for cohesion and clarity, complement a slender central seconds hand. Meanwhile, the date aperture at 3 o’clock is framed in polished white gold, offering functionality and visual symmetry.
A Fresh Take

At first glance, the 7010/1G-013 reveals a study in refined contrast. Its white gold case, measuring a compact 32mm in diameter and only 6.9mm slim, retains the signature porthole-inspired form that has defined the Nautilus since its debut in 1976. The case’s construction features a harmonious interplay of alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces, which enhances the timepiece’s visual complexity and elevates its tactile appeal.

Framing the dial here is the emblematic octagonal bezel set with 46 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.8 carats. Far from being purely decorative, the diamonds impart a subtle yet undeniable luxury and relaxed opulence to a timepiece designed for everyday sophistication.
The model is fitted with an integrated white gold bracelet, a distinguishing element that sets it apart from the 7010G-013’s more casual, sporty-chic aesthetic. Executed with Patek Philippe’s typical rigour, the bracelet flaunts contrasting brushed and polished finishes across the outer, inner, and lateral links to create a structured and architectural aesthetic. A patented fold-over clasp secured by four independent catches also boasts a lockable adjustment system, which ingeniously allows for a quick and seamless extension of between 2mm and 4mm, ensuring optimal wearability throughout the day.
Quartz Precision, Superior Standards

Powering this new reference is the calibre E 23-250 S C, a high-precision quartz movement developed and manufactured in-house by Patek Philippe. Although quartz calibres are often viewed as secondary to mechanical movements, this calibre is anything but ordinary. Measuring 23.9mm in diameter and just 2.5 mm thick, the movement comprises 80 meticulously finished components, reflecting the same level of craftsmanship Patek Philippe applies to its mechanical offerings. The calibre features a central seconds hand and date display, with the crown offering three positions: pushed in for normal operation, pulled to the first position for date setting, and fully extended for time setting and stopping the seconds hand.
While the traditionalist or purist may lament the absence of a mechanical movement, Patek Philippe’s decision to equip the new Ladies’ Nautilus with a quartz calibre reflects a deliberate design philosophy – one that prioritises precision, reliability, and user-friendly practicality for a watch intended for daily wear. It is not a compromise, but a carefully considered choice that aligns with the expectations of modern collectors, who value aesthetic refinement and functional performance.
A Sportier Counterpart

Unveiled alongside the 7010/1G-013, the Reference 7010G-013 shares the same white gold diamond-set case and lacquered azure blue dial, but features a composite-material strap with a fabric pattern. Secured by a white gold Nautilus fold-over clasp, the strap adds to the watch a relaxed and sport-driven aesthetic, while maintaining the collection’s luxurious underpinnings.
This new model builds on the aesthetic and commercial success of the rose gold References 7010R-013 and 7010/1R-013, which debuted in 2023 with striking purple lacquered dials on a composite strap and matching gold bracelet, respectively.
With the 2025 editions, Patek Philippe shifts to a cooler, more versatile palette, ensuring the Ladies’ Nautilus remains current and compelling for a new generation of collectors.
Modern Femininity Redefined

Together, the new Ladies’ Nautilus references highlight Patek Philippe’s commitment to crafting watches for women that are purpose-built, not just scaled-down adaptations of men’s references. These are timepieces conceived with distinct identities, designed to offer technical integrity, comfort, and visual strength in equal measure.
Both iterations command attention through balanced proportions and considered design, with the 32mm case offering an ideal wrist presence that is neither too diminutive nor dainty. The vivid azure dial injects a refreshing burst of colour, which is a striking departure from predictable neutrals and monochromes. Of the two, the 7010/1G-013, with its diamond-set bezel and integrated white gold bracelet, distils sportiness, polish, and just the right amount of opulence into a wearable expression of everyday luxury.
